A deep clean goes above and beyond a normal cleaning. It tackles every inch of the premises, from floor to ceiling, and leaves things absolutely immaculate. Deep cleaning is necessary to keep the workspace in top shape and encourage the employees to maintain healthy and productive habits.
GES office and building deep cleaning aims to maintain the condition of carpets, surfaces, kitchen, and comfort room fixtures as well as decrease wear and tear. Especially, for those overlooked spaces with build-up clutter, dirt, and grime.
While modern office interiors are more open than they ever have been, reducing potential cubby and cupboard detritus, modern office workers are still likely to leave their mark on even the best of interiors. This is why an annual, semi-annual, or quarterly deep cleaning is needed and vary depending on the traffic: clean and tidy surroundings increase wellness and morale. It can even boost the business’ sales and lease spaces over time.
The following checklist below may vary depending on the office, space, and building requirements but we recommend to always include these 11 must-do jobs:
1. Overhead Dusting
Dust the tops of cabinets and door jams. Most areas can be accessed with long-handled dusters, but a ladder is the safest way to reach ceiling fans, fire sprinklers, and smoke detectors. Dust light diffusers, light fixtures, bulbs, air vent grates, and the top of entertainment hutches.
2. Walls, Baseboards and Doors
Dust and clean baseboards and walls. Clean switch plates, wall outlets, and charging stations. Wipe down doors on both sides including frames, knobs, locks, and hinges.
3. Windows, Sills and Frames
Vacuum window tracks to remove dust and debris. Polish interior glass, clean sills, and wipe down frames and hardware. Remove any stickers or residue of acrylic and silicone that is left during the construction.
4. Shelves, Cabinets and Any other Built-in Interiors
Clean inside closets, cabinets, and on top of shelves paying special attention to those hard-to-reach corners. Remove drawers and clean underneath as well as checking for scuffs and smudges.
5. Furniture, Trim and other Woodwork
Wipe furniture with special attention to deep spaces and hard-to-reach areas. Clean wood trim and other woodwork with furniture polish or wood oil. Polish and shine metal.
6. Carpets, Rugs and Upholstery
Everyday use may result to not only looking filthy, but can also cause itchy, irritating reactions for employees, clients, or guests. Stain removal, vacuuming, shampooing, and extracting dust, dirt, and grime from the upholstery and carpet. Highly effective impregnation which protects all textile surfaces and delays subsequent soiling.
7. Kitchen and Pantry
Clean interior and exterior of rangehood, refrigerator, oven, and other appliances. Make sure all the stickers or plastic cover are carefully removed in this way not to attract and keep the dust and dirt in the future. Thorough cleaning of countertop, sink, cupboard, cabinets, and drawers.
8. Comfort Room
Thorough cleaning of the comfort room. Check and remove residue of grout, paint, and cement on floor and walls. Wipe and sanitize the toilet, fixtures, handles, washbasin, and countertop.
9. Sanitary
Important element in sanitary areas is its clean and fresh environment. GES shares your passion for promoting a healthy, contaminant-free space. Gym equipment, sauna, jacuzzi, toys, and playgrounds are particularly a breeding ground for germs and bacteria. Gym and locker room, Spa and wellness, and indoor playground are used by multiple people and are generally a warm and sweaty environment - all of which increase the likelihood that germs are lingering on surfaces. Having a dirty and contaminated area that causes diseases in children and adults will eventually lead to your facility being declared as unsafe or for your customers to not come back.
10. Flooring
Deep cleaning, stripping, waxing, polishing, and crystallization of natural stone floorings, ceramic tiles, concrete, wooden, and elastic floorings (e.g. PVC, Linoleum, and Rubber).
11. Exterior
Cleaning the exterior is also important to overcome the power of nature to destroy. Once nature takes over, the structure will start to deteriorate. Mildew and mold, once it gets hold can damage your paint, materials, and surfaces. Proper cleaning of entrance and pool area, walkway, parking, terrace, and garden can prolong and preserve the property structure. Likewise, reducing the weathering process and eliminate insects, debris, and undesirable natural stain. Improved overall curb appeal further increases customers’ enjoyment and satisfaction of the premises.
