GES Localized Dual Vocational Education and Training

GES facilitates an in-house training for people who are interested in learning and developing new skills in housekeeping and hospitality industry. This training is certified by the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI). GES is one of the first companies in the Philippines to work together with GPCCI in implementing the localized dual vocational education and training modeled after the German standards.

The training last for 240-hours and is administered by high-qualified trainers, both German and Filipino nationals to supervise the implementation of dual VET all throughout the training course as well as helping the trainees to fully understand the training. Training is both in English and Filipino, so knowledge in English language is a must so that the trainees can fully understand and perform the tasks at hand during the training. Both trainers are professionals in Hospitality Management and Housekeeping Department and holds a certificate to become trainers.

The training is conducted both in theory and practical. The theory part covers important lectures of the cleaning industry in a classroom environment. This is where trainees read materials, have open discussions, and learn about work planning, safety, hygiene, and other related topics. In the practical part trainees execute in a real operational process what they have learned in theory and exercise their skills.

After the training period is stipulated, the trainees will have a final examination both in theory and practical where they must prove their knowledge and skills learnt during the training. This is followed by a six (6) month on-the-job training to serve as an apprenticeship.

The training certificate is awarded once the examination and the on-the-job training are passed. Upon successfully passing, our trainees will receive an AHK Certificate for Localized Dual Vocational Training modeled after the German Standards from the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI).
